The lack of a positive review reflects two recent experiences involving two of our children, aged eighteen and fourteen. My husband and I feel very strongly that during a Triage call back, the surgery was very dismissive of our sons plight. We do not ask for appointments lightly as common sense often prevails, but in both instances we did not hesitate, certain both boys needed to be seen by a GP. My eldest was merely advised to find out when his next hospital appointment was, even though he has a heart condition and was suffering palpitations. We were later advised by a London hospital to go straight to A and E. My younger son was seen by a GP, but only after their advise to dial 999 was rebuked by the emergency services, who suggested a doctor needed to see our son instead. To cut a long story short we did then receive an appointment but the GP was far from sympathetic, suggesting "something was not right" and "we cannot help you" but promising to write to the hospital suggesting they bring his September appointment forward. After some chasing our son did receive his forwarded appointment for late June, but this was then cancelled and he has been placed on their outpatient waiting list. The saying 'banging your head against a brick wall' has never felt so real. We consider our sons treatment as a lack of basic care and wish to warn others that all is not rosy at this surgery.
