As the relative of an elderly person living in the village, I am extremely disappointed with the service. The GPs do not see it as within their remit to make home visits to the elderly, even in spite of discharge from cancer surgery. There is no mechanism to deliver medicines to the housebound residents in the village. My relative was always told to get to the surgery even though they could barely walk. The surgery boasts a number of 'teams' but it is a mystery who is able to benefit. I have been told that 'budgets are limited'. There is no human dimension to this offering.
"poor service for the elderly"
