Today my son ,who is 27 and has severe learning difficulties , was admitted to city hospital for an orthopaedic surgery. From the moment we arrived he was treated with the utmost respect and dignity. All staff addressed him directly even though he is non verbal and they involved him in every aspect of his care.
I was allowed to stay with him until he was put under and I was allowed to be in recovery so that my face was the very first thing he saw.
From the consultant and his team right down to porters and nursing assistants, every single person was amazing. I would have no hesitation in recommending city hospital, their care was some of the highest standard I’ve experienced in our many many interactions with the NHS
Thank you to all who made my sons operation smooth and thank you all for treating him with the dignity and respect he deserves.
"First rate care"
