"Waiting too long for a gyne appointment"

About: Liverpool Womens Hospital

I have been waiting for several weeks to be given an appointment for an unhealed episiotomy would (I gave birth 4 months ago). Almost every time I call the appointments line there is no answer and the only time I've spoken to someone I'm just told to wait.

I am in pain and my life is very affected by this, I need medical attention. It's not acceptable that I still have no date for an appointment, let alone no treatment.

Thank you for leaving your feedback and I apologise for the problems you have encountered. We always strive to provide the best possible service and timely appointments are a part of that.

Without your personal details I am unable to comment on the specific delays you have experienced and the reasons for this. I would encourage you to contact the urogynaecology department on 0151-702-4321 and leave a message with your name and contact number with a brief description of your query. One of the urogynaecology nurse practitioners will then be able to contact you directly and discuss how we can resolve this for you
