"Great care from the ambulance service"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Hairmyres / Cardiac Catherterisation

(as a relative),

My husband was unwell, the ambulance arrived within 5 mins, two ambulance men and a nurse took great care of him  and confirmed he was having a heart attack.   They attended to him in the house, and called ahead to the hospital where a team of cardiac doctors were waiting and from my initial call to the ambulance to my husband having 2 stents fitted this was all done in 90 mins....I cannot thank them enough for the speedy service and care and attention he received.   I am eternally grateful.

Hi CelticFan,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on CareOpinion. It sounds as if a very worrying situation for your husband and of course yourself was handled professionally and swiftly.

I would really like to pass on these kind words to the crew and their manager. If possible, could I ask you to email me at scotamb.feedback@nhs.net? I will need the date and time that the ambulance attended your husband along with the address we attended and your husbands name.

I wish you and your husband all the very best and I hope he is recovering well!

Alan

Dear CelticFan

I am the senior nurse responsible for the service where your husband received his treatment. It is great to hear that your husband received speedy service and care and attention during what must have been a very stressful time.

I hope your husband continues to recover well and wish you both all the best for the future.

Kind Regards

Kirsty

Hi Kirsty,

I cannot thank your team enough for the care and attention my husband received. He is doing great, stopped smoking and living a healthy lifestyle. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and keep up the good work, too many people quick to complain, but I have nothing but praise for you all x
