I'm afraid I cannot recommend the urology department at all.
I saw various consultants, at various SASH locations over a period of a few years for a relatively minor problem which led to two operations both of which left me in a worse position than before.
I feel so stupid that after one poor job I let myself be talked into another.
Apart from the poor operations, I have encountered poor behaviour including
1 - failure to describe the situation and explain options
2 - describing the surgery pre-op and then doing something different during the op
3 - closing ranks
4 - presenting options only to be told they weren't options moments prior to the operation
5 - dismissing and washing their hands of the consequences describing them as psychological, which may be true but they were the cause of the psychological problems
Seriously, if you are due to see these guys, consider how serious the problem is.
If it is something relatively minor, then you may be better off putting up with it then going anywhere near this department.
I wish I had been given that advice.
Instead I'm left with unnecessary physical and psychological scarring that I will have to put up with.
