I have.
just had my first stay in hospital after nearly 74 years of good health.
I was placed on an HD respiratory ward D56 at QMC. I found the dedication, professionalism of all the staff amazing. The nursing staff from the young trainee to the well experienced showed such a degree of care, in some cases under the most trying circumstances. If my experience was typical then the NHS has to be the leading healthcare organisation in the world.
Nothing was ever to much trouble, the younger staff especially, a quick smile when you are feeling low and your day is improved 100%, this doesn't come in the training manual but shows a natural affability to care of there patients.
Although it doesn't seem adequate, a big thank you to all the staff, from my Medical Consultant to my Tea Consultant.
