"Rude staff"

About: New Cross Hospital / Maternity care

Came into the midwife unit today due to reduced movements, first I rang triage to explain my situation only to be greeted on the other end of the phone by a very unprofessional and unpleasant midwife who seemed to show no interest in what I had to say, once she asked my age she began speaking to me like complete dirt and I was told not to bother coming in. I then phoned my normal midwife who assess me on a regular basis at my doctors and she told me I had to be checked. I then phoned triage back to yet again be spoken to like dirt from the same midwife who then began to tut at me before allowing me to come in ! I’m absolutely outraged by the disrespect of the staff here and I’m supposed to be completing my birth plan next week, problem is I don’t even feel like I want to give birth at new cross anymore after the way I was spoken to not just tonight but on several occasions by your unprofessional staff !! However one of your training midwifes was able to reassure me that everything would be completely fine and I did the right thing by coming in, at least one member of staff showed me a little respect.
