"Terrible staff in a and e"

About: New Cross Hospital / Accident and emergency

Taken by ambulance to a and e around midnight in extreme pain and vomiting lots (due to gallstones and extremely inflamed gallbladder).

Did blood tests and chest x-rays???!!!!???? even though I told them I needed to have CT scan or ultrasound as I knew it was gallstones.

Said there was nothing wrong with me and to go home and take painkillers.

Eventually changed their minds at 6.30am and reluctantly admitted me to AMU.

Was eventually discharged a week later after copious amounts of fluids, antibiotics, blood tests and the CT scan I needed. Confirmed gallstones/gallbladder close to perforating and a date was arranged for a couple of weeks later for surgery.

Not bad spending a week in there when there was allegedly nothing nothing wrong with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank goodness the staff of AMU,

SAU and Ward A12 as well as my fantastic consultant actually know how to do their jobs properly!
