"Nerotizing pancreatitis care:"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

My husband was admitted in February with necrotizing pancreatitis, he was in three weeks with the middle week in Critical Care.

Since then he has been admitted another three times, for observation and treatment.

During this time he was given the best care, and was kept up to date with everything that was going on.

Everyone was helpful, kind and caring.

He was also admitted to the Emergency Department a couple of times before going to St. Mawes unit, the care there was very good too.

Dear Anonymous

Thank you for sharing your husband's recent experience on our Gastrointestinal and Liver Unit, Critical Care, Emergency Department and St Mawes Unit; I am sorry that he has had cause to use their services when he was admitted with necrotizing pancreatitis. However, I am delighted to hear that he has been given the best care and was kept up to date with everything that was going on by helpful, kind and caring staff.

I will ensure that your kind words and praise is shared with all relevant teams who would have helped to look after your husband throughout his journey under our care, as I know it will be gratefully received by all.

Thank you again and I hope that your husband is recovering well and now feeling much better.

With kind regards

Michaela Brewer, Patient & Family Experience Coordinator
