(as the patient),

As a nurse myself working in  NHS I was anxious when having major surgery. The Upper Hand Team including Jane, Specialist Nurses Lynne and Elaine were excellent at easing my anxieties. I felt they all worked as a team and made each patient feel that they were worthy. I was highly  impressed with every part of my treatment and the surgical teams within theatre and recovery are included in this. I don’t feel as clinicians we get enough thanks and I just want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved.

Thank you for taking the time to post your positive comments on Care Opinion, it can be an anxious time as a patient prior to surgery, im glad that you felt the upper limb team were able to ease your anxieties, and you recognised that they treated all patients as if they were worthy. Patient centred care is our aim and it looks like we got it right for you.
