"Outstanding nursing"

About: Central Middlesex Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had a hip replacement surgery in May, at the Central Middlesex Hospital.  I wanted to thank all the staff who looked after me over the 4 day stay. I’ve had 4 surgeries in the last 4 years so have experienced many, many professionals in the NHS.  But I wanted to single out a  particular nurse called  Litty (I think her given name is Miriam).  She is a wonderful example of patient centred care and all round good nursing.  She was a soothing, helpful presence on the Ward and wonderful with facilitating the discharge process and organising the necessary medications.  Outstanding nursing and a lovely person, thank you Litty!

Dear Julsie

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay at Central Middlesex Hospital. I was pleased to learn that you were so well looked after and in particular by Nurse Litty, who ensured your stay was a pleasant one and that your discharge went smoothly

I will ensure your kind words are shared with Nurse Litty so that she hears what a good job she is doing and thank you once again for letting us know about your experience. I hope that you are recovering well at home now following your surgery in May.

Kind regards

Peter Hare
Patient Liaison Manager
