Was taken by ambulance to a&e on Wednesday , we got there almost midnight. I was in pain , being sick and very drowsy. A nurse first came n asked about the severity of the pain no further questions of any other symptoms I might be having at that time. after another nurse came and asked me to come with her to a nearby room and I had to tell her I can’t walk so she pushed me (I was in a wheelchair). considering I was in a wheelchair she could have anticipated there might be a problem with my mobility or she could have asked me and would have known how drowsy I was before asking me to walk. After she was done examining me, next I was being wheeled by this lovely gentleman out of a&e to a different part of the hospital which is something similar to an out of ours gp service. I was feeling very sick, throwing up and very drowsy that I found it soo difficult whilst sitting in the wheelchair waiting to be seen. It took nearly 6hours before I was eventually seen by a doctor . The ambulance staff and the doctor I saw were all brilliant. The communication with the first point of contact was really bad, if there had been proper communication I believe some of my symptoms will not have escalated.
"Bad communication"
