"Staff were rude and disrespectful and..."

About: Witney Community Hospital

I suffered an injury to my wrist on Sunday the 5th June, so I went to witney hospital to get it check on Monday the 6th. They took and X-ray, which they said looked clear sent me home with advice to rest, elevate and keep it moving. So I went home and did everything I was told kept on top of pain killers and applied ice to it aswell. But the swelling and bruising seemed to be getting worse and the pain killers weren’t easing the pain. By the next day my wrist and thumb were even bigger and I was in a lot of pain so decided to go back to the hospital. I saw the same nurse as the day before and she just suggested that I go to the pharmacy to get some stronger painkillers and continue with the advice from the day before. So I booked a doctors appointment with my doctor that afternoon to get something stronger for the pain. He then sent me back over to the hospital to get another X-ray of my wrist. When I got back they took an x ray said it was clear and their tone of voice was rude and disrespectful. It made me feel like I was wasting their time. But because I was in pain she put me in a splint and sent me to the John Radcliffe the next day and they have now said there is a little crack in my scaphoid and now in a cast. Luckily it wasn’t left longer because it could have been worse. I will not be attending Witney hospital again and will not be recommending this service to others.
