"Poor Repeat Prescription Service"

About: Maghull Health Centre

I would like to know why it takes 16 or more days to issue a repeat prescription when it clearly says on the website to allow 2 days.

Almost every month I encounter this problem.

When I enquire from the reception staff if it has been sent to Boots, as requested, I am informed it has, only to find once I arrive at Boot's that it has not.

I am grateful to the staff at Boot's who have spent many hours trying to chase up my prescription.

I work and take care of a vulnerable, housebound 86 year old and do not have time to waste every month chasing elusive prescriptions which should have been sent out weeks before.

If things do not improve I will be force to complain to the Commissioner of NHS Services

Please contact the practice manager regarding the issue raised above- there may be various reasons why you are having difficulty and we would need to look into this further. You may do this in writing or by telephone.
