I arrived in time for my appointment at 11.30 and was sitting outside in the receptionarea Atrium 3 at 11.15. during the next 2 hours I went to the reception staff 3 times to ask why it was so long to be told that they were very busy I would be called , I think at the third time of asking I rather raised my voice and made my feelings known that 2 hours was a bit too much to be told they are busy..Twice in that time a nurse called my name, the first asked which Dr had I seen that morning, she was surprised when i said no one at all. Then disappeared never to been seen again .Eventually I was called by a Dr who said he had just been given the notes and told to' see this lady as she had waiting some time'. And I'm afraid I was not very pleased when he informed they had no idea I was waiting outside. I rather made my feeings felt, I think the receptionist should have made some enquiries after the first visit to her. that might have saved my blood pressure going off the scale . It seems to be the norm lately this is not the first time I have had a bad experience in hospital the last three (not in Guys) have all been disastrous. . My next appointment with you will be on July 3rd at St Thomas, and I sincerely trust that by that time, I will be able to get to my appointment and be seen too ,without having to raise my voice and complain or lose my temper. So if you ask me how did we do. I will say NOt VERY WELL.
