My father was brought to Solihull Hospital following assessment by a paramedic and later by an on-call GP. He was seen in the medical assessment unit and admitted to ward 20B on Saturday night with pneumonia and having fallen.
The care he received was excellent - and he spoke very highly of the kind, cheerful and professional attitudes of all the staff he met, his discharge was arranged with care for his personal circumstances and he received a copy of his discharge letter.
He had been very anxious at the thought of being admitted, but the staff were supportive and considerate throughout. He was encouraged to get up and dressed every day and to keep as active as possible.
The only thing he mentioned that could have been better was that the food he ordered wasn't always the food that he was served! He did, however, say that the quality of the food was very good, much better than he had expected.
"The staff were supportive and considerate throughout"
