About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital

What I liked

I had my baby by emergency c-section after suffering from Pre-Eclampsia. As soon as I was admitted I was spoken to by the consultant, aneathestist, pediatrician and SCBU nurse. At all times I was informed what would happen and looked after to A* service. It still makes me emotional at the care I received from not just one but the whole team :) SCBU looked after my daughter to extremely high standards and helped me to bond and look after her. It was a real family atmosphere and we felt priveledged to have that level of care. Nothing was ever too much trouble and although they were always pushed in maternity I was looked after fantastically. I was helped to try and breast feed and shown how to bath my baby. There were of course midwives who stood out however there were none who stood out for the wrong reasons. I was originally booked at Ashford but feel extremely proud to say I had my baby at Margate! I am not sure if I can take this anywhere else but I would love it to be passed on.

What could be improved

Absolutely nothing!
