"No smile for me!"

About: Clacton Hospital

Having read positive reviews of the minor injuries unit here, I thought I would see if they could take a look at a finger injury (I felt an x ray might be necessary). One of the reviews I read talked glowingly about being greeted with a friendly smile from reception. No such smile for me! In fact, the receptionist looked a bit disappointed to see me. Still, with the good reviews in mind, I decided to press on. Unfortunately, I saw a sign saying waiting time would be one and a half hours! I turned and saw that the waiting room was full! I asked the receptionist if there was generally a time or day when it's less busy, but she said 'We can't tell.' I will have to come back another time, probably using guesswork as to when it won't be so busy!
