"Excellent"

About: St Thomas' Hospital / Maternity care

I gave birth two months ago in the home from home center and the attention I received from all the stuff was impeccable. I arrived very advanced in labour (7cm) and the midwives clearly identifed my state and rushed me to an examination room. I had to wait no more than 5 minutes to be checked.

They knew English is not my first language so they got me a midwife who was fluent in my first language even though I didn't ask for it. During labour my MW was considerate and took care of us offering aromatherapy and even reminding my husband to hydrate himself!! I was in awe with the service and support during and after labor. I'm only sad that we moved houses so our future children won't be born in St Thomas's.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are so pleased to hear your experience of giving birth at the Home From Home Centre was such a positive one. Its good to know that the midwives were ablt to see you so quickly and both you and your husband felt supported through out. We will share your comments with the team in maternity services.
