If you are lucky enough to get past the receptionists who think they are medically trained then well done to you!
There were no appointments or telephone consultations apparently and having a 9 year past medical history of Pneumonia and always being admitted into hospital for it the receptionist advised I just come down to the surgery to "request" another Salbutamol inhaler.
The doctors here also told me my blood samples showed "NAD" when actually 3 months later a consultant informed me they were far from normal at all. Scary!
Not to mention the time I attended for my yearly smear to be told it has to be done in hospital and when attending hospital I was informed my surgery has wasted their time as well as mine.
My toddler is behind on her routine vaccinations and every time I have asked about this I have been told I will recieve an appointment in the post. After a 6 month wait an appointment did arrive and it had been made at our old GP surgery (we left there 2 years ago) as Millfield failed to inform child health we had moved to their surgery ( information given by child health)
When attending an appointment 4 of the GPs make an effort to check their watches and make a point to you how many minutes you have left before your 10 minutes are over. As a GP surgery professional myself of 14 years I can honestly say this surgery is not ok. No where is perfect but my experiences here have been the worst.
I could tell you so much more as well.
"Thank goodness for 111"
