What I liked

Everything!! From the moment I found out I was pregnant, I wanted to have my baby at Crowborough as I'd heard nothing but good things about it. My first baby was born in a different hospital and whilst everything went ok, I wasn't given much support afterwards. The same could not be said for Crowborough. From booking in to leaving the hospital, I was made to feel welcome, relaxed and cared for.

I arrived at the hospital and was taken to a delivery room which had low lighting and the pool already filled. I was given just enough support and information to feel I knew what was happening but not too much that it was overwhelming. I was given encouragement just when I needed it and once my beautiful baby had been born, I was immediately helped to breastfeed. This is something that was very important to me as I'd been unable to breastfeed the first time around.

During my 2 day stay at Crowborough, I was looked after so well, it felt like I was in a hotel! Nothing was too much trouble for the midwives who supported me throughout my stay. I also liked the fact the delicious meals were served in a room which gave me a change of scenery.

The maternity ward was kept spotless and didn't have that awful 'hospital' smell.

I could go on and on about what was great about CBC but I'm running out of words. I hope that the powers that be take note of all these positive comments that are out on here as this is a wonderful place made so special by all those that work there.

I'd say the same as someone else said....please make sure you use this service as it really is amazing at CBC. I consider myself a very lucky person to have been fortunate enough to have my baby here and would highly recommend it.

I would also again say to the managers who make all the decisions about our maternity services that you are very lucky to have such wonderful staff at CBC and for that matter, in and around the Uckfield area. These people are the ones that make our experiences of childbirth so special and I would say that for that, we are very privileged.
