I write on behalf of an elderly relative who was 84 years old on admittance into a and e then ward no 12.
The staff of ward 12 are never to be seen you have to hunt them down and locate them and ask them questions about what is happening.
They seem reluctant to tell you anything and merely read from a file without any real understanding of the patients history or needs.
The ward is dirty.
I noticed blood on the floor in the same place for four days. The visiting hours are far too long 1100 /2000 hours daily how anyone is expected to recover and rest in an environment that is constantly full of visitors.
I think the staff welcome the visitors because it releases them from caring for the patients.
I observed times when people pressed the buzzer for help and waited20 minutes plus for a member of staff to attend
No.
The place is run on a shoestring.
The standard of care is the worse I gave ever observed.
Avoid.
"Quality of care abysmal"
