I had a fungal infection on my toe nail (the whole nail was infected), I went to see the doctor, she said it was a fungus but it was just cosmetic. I went to Boots chemists they said no fungal nail treatment from them would cure me because it had already infected my whole nail and told me to go to my GP. I went back to the doctor and asked why she didn't want to treat me, as a fungal nail is not only cosmetic, I could potentially lose my toe if I left it untreated. She then said she wasn't sure it was fungal (she previously said it was) and gave me a urine sample collection pot and told me to cut my nail, put it in there and give it to the reception. She still didn't treat me. Fungal nails take a long time to grow and I could give my sample to the reception only 3 months later. After 2 weeks without getting the results, I went back there for the results and they were no results. They said I've never dropped any sample there. After I made a scandal the receptionist said the results came back and were negative. I asked for the results in writing and she refused to give me them. Since then I've moved GPs and had my treatment immediately (as the fungal infection was so obvious). I don't recommend this practice and even less the doctor I saw.
"Awful service"
