"Broken leg"

About: Southampton General Hospital / Accident and emergency

i attended a & e at 2.30 pm and was seen in under an hour. Examined and sent for an X-ray although suspected torn ligament. Waited a bee short time for the result which showed a fracture. A second X-ray was requested and done immidately. Advised I would need admitting for surgery the next day. Leg plastered and advised I could return home and would receive a call in the morning. At 8.30 received call to go to day surgery level f and bring overnight bag.

Taken for surgery and transferred to ward f4 and stayed overnight. At all stages I was kept fully informed, treated professionally, with kindness and great care. Had complete confidence in everyone I dealt with. Thank you SGH. And well done.
