"It was fine"

About: University Hospital (Coventry)

What I liked

Staff were polite, everything was very clean. Patient privacy was brilliant.

What could be improved

After I woke up from surgery, no observations were taken. I think maybe they took my blood pressure once before they discharged me in a hurry. Also I noticed on my notes someone had written my pain score as 0, but nobody had actually asked me. I was told before I had surgery that I would be given some cocodamol before I left, but when I actually came to left they said it hadnt been written down right so I would have to do without. I appreciate that it was late and everyone obviously wanted to go home, but I work in PACU so I know the discharge criteria.

Also when being anaesthetised the anaesthetist did not say a word to me, they just started administering the drugs. And even when I asked 'what are you giving me?' It was the ODP who spoke to me, the anaesthetist continued to ignore me.

Anything else?

The things mentioned in the 'could have been improved' section just stood out to me as I work in theatres. Generally everything was fine, and I would recoment this hospital.
