I should like to thank, specifically, Mr T de Klerk's secretary, Ms Clarke , for her help.

I was given an appointment for cataract surgery at this hospital, to be performed by Mr de Klerk and his team.  A letter had been sent to my GP requesting some details about my health records and I was concerned that the reply may not have reached the MREH as the appointment date was approaching.

Fortunately, after attempting to access some advice by calling several different telephone numbers, I was able to get in touch with Ms Clarke who made a thorough search for the GP's response without success.  She asked me to telephone my GP practice and advise them to fax the response directly to her, which was done.

She was good enough to telephone me later to confirm that all the details had now been received and that the operation could go ahead as planned.

Ms Clarke was impressively efficient and helpful in following up this matter, and I'd like to send her my appreciation and gratitude for this.

We were pleased to read that Ms Clarke, was able to assist you in making sure that your health records were received by the hospital prior to your planned procedure. We were also pleased to read that she verified receipt of your health records by contacting you and letting you know that your procedure could now go ahead. It was very kind of you to take the time to write and compliment the staff as it is good to receive positive feedback which reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff.
