"I felt a lot calmer and in control"

About: Advocacy Support Cymru Talygarn Unit

(as the patient),

I felt at first no one understood what I was going through. Also  felt I was being pushed into decisions that I had no control over. But after Dan came into the ward rounds with me I felt a lot calmer and in control.

The advocacy is not communicated enough on the ward as a patient's choice.

Thank you for providing feedback on the advocacy support provided by Dan, I will ensure this is shared with him. It is really positive to hear that as a result of Dan's involvement, you felt calmer and more in control during ward rounds and I hope this continues to be the case.

I take note of your comment that the advocacy role is not communicated enough on the ward and will discuss this with the area manager along with increasing awareness raising.

Thank you
