"Unable to contact the hospital"

About: Basildon University Hospital / Gynaecology

I'm absolutely baffled as to how you actually communicate with anyone at this hospital. I've been a patient with them since May 2017 and have encountered this issue over and over again.

Most recently, I've been trying for over a week to speak to a human being to amend an appointment and so far have left countless voicemails in one particular department and received no response. As far as I'm aware there's no other means to contact the department.

We are sorry that you have had difficulty in making contact with the Gynaecology department.

If you are still need to speak to someone about your appointment we would suggest you contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) at pals@btuh.nhs.uk or on 01268 394440 in order for them to investigate with the appropriate team.

If you do contact PALS please can you advise them that you have posted comments on the NHS Choices website.
