"Some real issues here"

About: Marie Stopes International Bristol Centre

all staff were lovely for the first part of the time I was at the clinic. I was very nervous and was reassured by everyone I came into contact with. However, I had to wait 3 hours for my treatment and was very hungry by the time I got to the theatre. I raised the issue that I was very nervous and this was communicated to the theatre team. However, when I arrived in the theatre, nobody reassured me and instead I was asked a barrage of questions by the surgeon with little or no eye contact or reassurance from other theatre staff. I was then put on the bed with no smiles or words of comfort and felt totally violated and terrified. A nurse was very kind and held my hand, and all recovery staff and mangers we’re kind and helpful. I feel quite traumatised by my experience in the actual theatre.

Thank you for the kind comments you gave about the nursing staff, however I am extremely sorry the rest of your appointment was so disappointing. I apologise that we failed to meet with your expectations and I would like to assure you that your issues will be taken up with the clinic Manager.
