"Cleft team and Ward 34"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

Our six month old daughter was born with PRS and an isolated cleft palate. From day one we received fantastic support and advice from a staff member and felt well prepared and well informed about the surgery. After Meeting the surgeon and the cleft team that we’re going to perform the surgery we felt relaxed about leaving our daughter in their care. The team did an excellent job both with the surgery and the support and information they gave us. The staff on Ward 34 were incredible, from the cleaning staff to the nurses every last one treated us with kindness and respect. Our little girl loved the attention and was well enough to return home after just one night. Our daughter continues to make an incredible recovery and we can not praise the cleft team and the ward 34 nurses and staff enough.

Thank you for the lovely feedback, which I’ve shared with the team on ward D34 and my colleagues in the cleft team. We’re all so pleased to hear your daughter is continuing to make a great recovery.

Best wishes to you and your family

Helen Donovan

Ward Manager, D34
