On May 25th 2018 I did something silly. I took.14 amlodopine tablets with the intention of just going to sleep and not waking up. I regretted this decision within minutes however in my life things were getting out of control. My partner called the ambulance team which arrived quickly. I was treat with total respect and care of which, although not thinking straight, I felt I did not receive as I had brought this on myself.
I am a hard worker, I do not do drugs. I am normally of sound mind however when things get too much for me I turn to alcohol. I do not get nasty or violent when having a drink but I do make unclear decisions.
The care was second to known from all the nurses, doctors and the alcohol and drug specialist. I would especially would like to thank to two nurses and a particular porter.
Upon being discharged I was interviewed by the alcohol and drug specialist and I would like all to know that I have taken his advice and will be contacting BIDAS and BAFC4V for help with my alcohol issues and make changes to my life.
I have since, with some serious self searching, decided to tell my close friends and parents of what I did. Not to make them worry, just to let them know that in time I intend to abstain from alcohol for my entire life so please, don't offer me a drink.
I would like to thank everybody for all your support. I will not do anything silly again and if there is anything I can do for you in the future, please do not hesitate to ask.
Many thanks.
