"Receptionist said!,The Physio will phone you?."

My wife slip and fell, had to lifted up.

In lots of pain so rang surgery explained to receptionist the problem she said the Physio will call you, so a phone call later from the surgery saying a doctor will speak to you NOT Physio. Its very wrong this receptionist is not safe to give advice, the visit to see a doctor was this year end of April start of May not sure no diary kept .

We are sorry if you felt the Receptionist handled your call inappropriately. All our reception team have regular training on appropriately signposting patients to the right person first time so that you can receive advice, reassurance or treatment as quickly as possible. The Reception Team handle over 1,000 requests each week from patients who would like to speak to a GP and sometimes this initial signposting may be changed by a member of our clinical team. We are always trying to improve your experience of the service we offer and would welcome any ideas on how we can get better.
