recently had a HTO at city, after a couple of hiccups I was placed on ward.
Some of the staff really struggled to smile some couldn’t do enough for you.
Nights were a total nightmare, so so noisy no chance of sleeping and when you did manage to dose off they would wake you to take bloody pressure.
Surely a good night sleep is more important ?
Before going into hospital I did my research so knew what to expect and after care procedures, and physio.
I saw physio two days after surgery as I had to wait for a block to wear off, already knowing I would be non weight bearing for several weeks you can imagine my surprise when the physics said I should be placing 70% weight through my leg.
Knowing this was wrong I questioned and the physio went off to check notes coming back saying 70% was correct despite this I carried on non weight bearing and completed my tests to get home.
I confirmed the non weight bearing on several hospital sites, knowing only a plate is holding my leg togeather I am shocked this advice was given and if someone not knowing had this procedure did this could cause major damage by being given wrong advice.
Really guys you should be doing so much better.
Your putting your patients at risk !!!
"Could be better"
