Left incredibly disappointed and let down after my appt on the 24th May. My appt was delayed by 1hr 45minutes but was told there was just a 45 minute delay. I was the second but last patient to be seen and when I was eventually seen I had an apology from the healthcare assistant who took my blood pressure. I then waited to see a doctor but my appt was incredibly rushed(even though every other patient was being seen for 30-45minutes, I was seen for 15minutes if that). The room was dingy and the Dr stood for the whole appt. The whole setting was very unprofessional. I was hoping for their advice and their input as I was advised I'd get by my midwife. But because I wasn't 100% sure of what I was able to do regarding my birth plan, instead of getting the advice I needed, I was offered leaflets to take home and to have another appt arranged, which is absolutely ridiculous. My questions weren't answered confidently and some weren't answered at all. The Dr went to ask the consultant one of my questions but came back with no reply and was told to come back at 36 weeks to discuss more and book a c-section. I left not knowing much more than I did when I went in for my appt. I've been waiting for this appt for a number of months and was hoping for a great experience considering my not so great experience previously at the Leicester general hospital but instead I feel incredibly let down. I'm now anxiously awaiting my 36 week appt that I feel will be pointless with potentially the same doctor.
