My little boy (just 2) was seen by a Paediatric consultant here who was fantastic. We had not had a great experience in another department of the hospital and my faith had been knocked.
In Paediatrics we were seen extremely promptly. An infection was diagnosed very quickly and appropriate second opinions sought from experts in his very rare autoimmune disease. The liaising with our GP, CAU and Pharmacy has been great. All.my questions have been answered (and I had plenty) and nothing was too much trouble. I had been made to feel like an over anxious mother elsewhere whose gut instincts about her child weren't valued. In this Department, my child's needs came first and foremost and I came away with a much better understanding of his disease and what to expect, as well as a referral to a specialist hospital. Absolutely first class treatment. Could not be more grateful
