"Excellent treatment with ultimate care."

About: Wexham Park Hospital

What I liked

It seems that, for as long as I can remember, hospitals have been an easy target for complaints.

I therefore wish to register my praise for the treatment I have received from you.

I was referred to a surgeon in early 2010 with prostate cancer by a consultant at Milton Keynes Hospital as he felt that he was the right surgeon for the tumour I had.

I have attended many of this surgeon's clinics since and he also has removed the offending gland. Prior to the surgery the care in explaining what would occur to me and my wife was very reassuring.

He has always been very caring to the extent that I would feel that I was his only patient. All of the other staff, both nursing and administration, have also been exemplary in my treatment.

My twelve month check up has shown that, to date, the operation has been very successful and everything that the skilful surgeon said would occur in both my recovery and treatment has.

The only small point is that appointment times are never kept but it is worth waiting as, it is clear when being seen, there is no rush to be sent away.

Whilst those I chat to sometimes moan about a wait they all agree that it is worth the wait.

I travel for an hour to get to you but would travel all day to get the attention that I am given.

I would be delighted if you could pass on my thanks to all concerned from my surgeon to the front desk receptionists.
