My husband was sent to CAU as the GP suspected he had had a stroke.
From the moment we stepped into CAU the care received from all members of staff including, students, trained staff, housekeeping , portering, clerical, in fact everyone we came into contact with was absolutely amazing. My husband was treated with great kindness and respect by all. Unfortunately my husband was given bad news about his health by Dr. Hargreaves. This news was delivered to my husband and I in a very clear and concise way. Dr Hargreaves is such a nice calm caring person.
My husband was then transferred to WD B12 where outstanding care was given to him by everyone who works on this ward. The staff although busy were always cheery and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The ward was spotless.Housekeeping kept him well fed and watered.
We would especially like to thank Dr. McKenzie (Specialist Trainee), for spending more time than she could probably spare for explaining things to my husband and myself. Her bedside manner is out if this world and she genuinely cares.
We would also like to thank all of those involved in my husband's biopsy procedure which was second to none and again treated my husband with patience and respect.
A massive thank you to everyone.
Keep up the good work.
