"Wonderful"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Maternity

This is the second time i have experienced the maternity unit at Treliske. I had to be brought in for an induction and the staff were amazing from start to a very long finish.

One thing i will say is that there was one midwife to two bays of women being induced. They were completely under staffed and over worked but despite this, the staff on shift gave each of us the care we needed.

At the end of a long labour, I did end up in theatre and still, a year on I am in awe of these people. What they do is simply amazing. I'll always be grateful for the care we received.

Dear Anonymous

Thank you very much for taking the time to post a review on Care Opinion about our Maternity services at Royal Cornwall Hospital. It is wonderful to hear that your experience was positive even if long and ending up with you having to go into theatre and that all staff provided you with amazing care.

I will of course be sharing your kind words, thanks and praise along with your valuable feedback concerning one midwife looking after two bays of women to the relevant staff as I know this will be gratefully received.

With kind regards

Michaela Brewer, Patient & Family Experience Coordinator
