"Surgical termination"

I didn't know what to expect when I entered the clinic, specially going through all this on my own. The staff made me feel nice and not for a single second I felt bad about the choice I made. I was 22 weeks and terrified! After I've signed all the papers and made aware of all the risks and the procedure itself I got taken downstairs to a waiting room. After an hour wait I got taken to theatre for a scan and to be inserted the tablets and the cervix dilators. I then went to the nurses room and was given water and some painkillers. In my case I was in horrific pain after 4,5 hours and I was given morphine and 2 heatpads for my back and tummy during the wait for the procedure.

When it was my turn to go in I was in bad pain and shaking all over. The nursing and doctor teams were fantastic in that moment. They held my hand, kept chating to me to keep me distracted whilst the anaesthetist was putting me to sleep. I don't remember a single thing and I was so conscious when I returned I was impressed. The only down for me was I was vomiting before and after the procedure due to the pain I was in. I felt so relieved after the surgery and felt the best support I could possibly imagine having. I can't thank the teams enough for all the support. You guys are great
