"suspected broken elbow"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Minor injuries unit New Victoria Hospital / Outpatients

(as the patient),

I went to hospital after I had a catastrophic mechanical failure on my bike that ended up with me being catapulted onto the road and landing on my arm.   I went to the minor injuries unit at the new Victoria Infirmary and was seen to almost immediately! There was no queue, the staff were really really friendly and helpful and the nurse that looked after me was Emma - she was super professional, got me sent off for an x-ray, then got an auxillary nurse to bandage up my arm, then gave me co-codamol to take away for the pain.   I couldn't have asked for better service, and was relieved that my arm wasn't broken, that it's just soft tissue damage.
