"Operation at the Day Surgery Unit"

My sincerest thanks to all the staff at the Day Surgery Unit where I had surgery for breast cancer yesterday. I was treated with dignity and respect and a sense of humour. They were very caring and ensured that I was given all the information I needed.

My surgeon and her registrar are inspirational and they reassured me at a time when I was feeling apprehensive to say the least. I was given the warmest hug before my surgery and put at ease that they would do their best for me.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received. When you are scared that human touch is vital and the staff got this absolutely right. I felt that I mattered to them.

Thank you to you all. Your hard work and dedication are very much appreciated and the NHS has always done its best for our family.
