"Awaiting for abdominal scan."

About: West Middlesex University Hospital / Accident and emergency

On Sunday evening 13th May 2018 we (me and my partner) visited A&E department for my partner. She was having chronic abdominal pain and passing blood while urinating. As we all know that A&E is always busy we were seen after a tiring wait for more than 2 hours. After a whole night wait they managed to do her blood pressure check, blood and urine sample test. After all these checks one of the doctor told us that it looks like that my partner had a miscarriage so she needs an abdominal scan is needed urgently. But they sent us home and told us to wait for their call for scan. A week has gone pass but we haven’t heard from them yet. My partner is still in pain and bleeding. She has got fever as well. She has become very week and frail. I am really worried about her. She doesn’t want to go A&E again and wait for 2 to 3 hours. So I rang the number that is on the hospital website and I was given a different number to ring ‭(020 8321 5747‬). I have been trying to call them several times but nobody is picking up the phone.

Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention and please do encourage your partner to come in to A&E if you are worried about them.

We do hope you have now been contacted about your scan however if you need to reach a member of our team contact PALS so they can assist you. You can email the PALS Team at wmpals@chelwest.nhs.uk or call them on 020 8321 6261.
