BAHA (Bone Anchored Hearing Aid)
I came into hospital for my planned Day Surgery operation for an abutment to take a BAHA (Bone Anchored Hearing Aid)
I would like to say a huge thank you to my ENT consultant & all of the staff working in the day surgery team including Central Bookings
In my opinion the "Day Surgery Unit" was working extremely well
I would like to extend my thanks to the Audiology Team who helped me make the decision for a BAHA, I truly appreciate all the help & professional advice given.
I have been late commenting because the whole process for a BAHA is a long process for good reasons
a) ENT & Audiology assessment
b) Day surgery to fit the abutment
c) BAHA fitting at Audiology when the abutment has properly healed
I'm able to confirm the BAHA is working well its not a perfect solution to natural hearing but has greatly improved the quality of my life
I would encourage the the Trust to continue funding this type of hearing aid
Its my opinion the ENT & Audiology team operating at Salisbury Hospital are
providing an excellent service
Thank you once again!
