"3 times postponed for open heart surgery"

About: Great Ormond Street Hospital Central London Site

My son is now 7 months old. He was born with a congenital heart defect. We have been going to the hospital for tests since the beginning of march 2018.

The nurses at walrus ward are truly a blessing. They are kind, considerate and careful with my baby. I can't say the same for the management that runs this ward.

My son was first scheduled for open heart surgery in april, but canceled 4 hours before the operation. Since then, he has been postponed 3 more times. They never told us the reason for the cancellation. We are still waiting for the day when his life and recovery will matter as much as the any other baby.
