"My wee girl"

About: Robin House

(as a parent/guardian),

We attended Robin House on several occasions over the years but not as much as we should have.

I regret not using Robin House as much as I should have as the staff up there make a hard time a bit more easier.  Some people are a bit worried when their child gets referred to a hospice everyone thinks it’s all doom and gloom but it’s like one big happy family up there. My wee girl passed away last year robin house were so helpful.  I don’t know how we would have coped without them. They made an unbearably sad time a lot easier. They done all the hard work for us and they haven’t forgot about us. They still keep in contact with us to see how we are. Really Robin House is a lovely wee place. I would like to thank all the staff for everything they done for us especially our key worker Teresa.

Dear Red Bull

Thank you so much for telling us your story about your daughter. I am pleased to hear that you felt the staff made things a little bit easier for you and your family, especially after she had died.

You are so right when you say that people may be worried about using a children's hospice, and your story explains beautifully the way in which we supported your family.

I will pass on your very kind comments to Teresa and all of the staff.

Thank you again

Take care

Nicky
