"they hung up on you when you call"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Accident and emergency

I call when my bother was missing he is very ill and hurts him self so I tried calling to seeing if he had taken himself there after being on hold for some time they put me back to the switch board number the man said on one was on the phones down in A&E I asked if he could try putting me back through for a second time I had explained what was going on and he then just hung the phone up on me.

on the other times I have had to take my bother to the hospital because off his mental health they have not been the nicest off people to my bother and have made my suicidal bother feel like its all his fault and have made the situation worse in some cases

there help is not the best when it comes to mental health they need more training when it comes to this type off care

if there was a different hospital closer to me and my bother I would take him there but as there is not I will have to keep taking him to the useless hospital that takes no care off there meanly ill patients.

We are very sorry to learn that you are not entirely happy when you telephoned the hospital recently. We apologise that you were not given the help and information you required.

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your brother's care in future, please contact our PALS Team (patient advice and liaison service) on 01634 825004 or medwayft.pals@nhs.net and they will be able to assist and advise you.

Kindest regards,

The Patient Experience Team
