I was a day case on Ward D5 on 17th May to have a lipoma excised from my shoulder/neck under local anaesthetic. Everyone I came into contact with - from my ward nurse, through to the trainee surgeon, to my surgeon, through my key theatre nurse, to the theatre staff were reassuring, clear and friendly. You all made what could have been a very unpleasant experience feel no worse than having my toenails clipped. I'm recovering well and am inexpressibly grateful to you all.
I hate hospitals!
But now, not so much.
