"Disappointment"

My husband has hairy cell leukaemia. Having had lots of complications we thought we were getting somewhere at last having had his spleen removed polops removed and lots of other procedures we finally got an appointment to have his liver tested with a fibroscan in Paisley instead of his usual Inverclyde

After making all that effort we get there - which is not easy -  to discover that they can’t get a reading and the machine they need is in Gartnaval hospital

There is no way we can get there so what do we do now? Why is the RAH in Paisley which has a liver department not equipped for every situation

it is unbelievable to me when this hospital has such a large catchment area that they should be falling short in the service they provide

The staff couldn’t have been nicer but come on people don’t have them apologising for our government's lack of funds
