I attended the MRI for the first time with my long time friend who i care for as he has had a number of silent breakdowns and has grade4 and grade 3 osteoarthritis, what happenned next i could of never imagined in my wildest dreams...the orthopaedic surgeon who attended first of all made both my friend and myself
VERY uncomftable,my friend offered his hand to greet him as he uses his manners,to be told that this surgeon doesnt shake hands,my friend was confused by this and natrually felt paranoid by the behaviour the surgeon was showing he was so nasty,my friend has been awaiting a knee replacment for some time,he was told by the surgeon that the reason he had waited so long was down to him not needing any further help, and that there wasnt anything wrong with him, just a "little arthritus"
Grade 4 and Grade 3 is more then a little!!My friend found out he had grade 3 and grade4 O/A due to key hole surgery on his knee, but this surgeon made him feel like it was all in his mind, even though all i could hear is both his knees cracking and see how swollen his knees are,it appeared to be one big joke to the surgeon, when my friend went to the toilet the toilet was dirty with and soiled,as for the surgeon not shaking hands he could say its to prevent cross infection, there again i always believed that is why there is alchol hand wash there,as it happened neither i or my friend seen an alcohol hand gel,all the other staff was pleasent its just a shame that the surgeon who was aware about the mental health issues with my friend thought it was clever to put someone vunrable down to save money on a knee operation.i would be happy to never step foot in that place again.
thank you for reading,i hope you dont suffer like my friend has.
"orthopaedic surgeon from hell."
